Still, he looked great in both modes and using his dino feet as his robot feet was a pretty slick look and a clever way to deal with them. Swoop was... fine I guess? He was just super underwhelming as Swoop tends to be, but it was still a step down compared to Sludge and Slag. Then Grimlock happened. He was an ok figure in a bubble but the problem was he was just so fucking awkward to look at in both modes and didn't really feel much like Grimlock. Plus it's GRIMLOCK. The ONE member of the team who you absolutely cannot half ass or let be anything shy of perfect or it will sour the entire team since most people either get the whole team or they just get Grimlock. Raptor sisters were even more underwhelming and lazy than Swoop and didn't need to happen.. Then, somehow when Snarl finally happened, he actually managed to be one of the best of the entire team... except for that massive fucking hood in bot mode that you couldn't do anything about and it had to just hang over him like some distracting built in umbrella. I still swear that that HAD to be a fuckup and some unfinished file got sent in for mold creation. It would have been the easiest thing it the world to just add a hinge or two to the piece and/or armature to allow it to fold against the back properly since there is plenty of room for it to do so. It's like that's exactly what they did but then either they forgot to hit save or they accidentally grabbed an older copy of the CAD file before they did it and by the time they noticed their mistake, it was too late to do anything about it.I refuse to believe anyone actually saw that hood there and thought it was ok to voluntarily put into production that way when it looks so unfinished. They couldn't have actually been that stupid. It's too stupid.
But yeah, the whole FP team was just a crushing disappointment. If I had known how it was all going to turn out, I would have never jumped in.
