I called my store on the first and they said they had very limited quantities and had like 1 left over but when I went there today when they opened everyone in line was buying 500$+ sets in total and they were each getting a castle. Very likely yes.

With the pink slip they leave, they won't try redelivery until someone signs the slip and leave it out which counts as a signature.

I do tell buyers when I ship with sig confirmation so they are aware it won't just show up willy nilly (usually only do for orders $300+)

I'd send them a message for sure.

Pay attention to online listings, identify the "selling for space, not for money" demographic, if they have multiple listings offer to buy *everything,* serve a lowball while marketing for convenience, and then show up on time. I've bought and sold on bricklink for a decade and have only had trouble with ebay sellers overall.

A sold package was stolen once but since it was marked as delivered I wasn't responsible. I might just be lucky, but 99.99% of people seem legit.

Don't just start off selling huge stuff though - sell some minifigs and build feedback or rep first.

Also, I just checked and it's Winter Toy Shop 10249 - thanks though. It's missing all the minifigs which sucks and it's super dirty so the pieces will need a pass in the ultrasonic cleaner. But considering it came with a huge fuckoff wad of other things it's all good.

Amazon has apparently been sending small sets in padded envelopes for years smashing half the sets they ship. In contrast, on larger sets they have been packaged in boxes and have been okay. You can play the other players yourself, and I've done that. I don't think the gameplay involves hidden knowledge that would make this awkward, but you might end up favoring one "player" with decisions like P1 deliberately not taking a potion under P2's nose that would otherwise be decided individually. You could probably also play it just with one player character, more of a gauntlet then.

A bin is the name for the boxes in the factory.
Each theme gets a budget. The budget is a amount of Bin storage that the factory uses. A single unprinted element is a bin in storage for the life time of a set. A printed element uses a second bin on top of that. The Armory had around 20 bins of new parts, So did the Sanctum. This is a crazy amount and only Harry Potter has hit around this when it got relaunched.

I always grab cheap Duplo blocks when I find them because they're great for walls, pillars, cliffs, etc as well as other reasons, and the molded pieces like the animals and engine blocks are fun in conjunction with System stuff.

It happened before when vidya started showing up on the market. So they made Lego Island, which was campy fun, but eventually got completely btfo by Minecraft where, surprise, kids just want to build stuff with blocks and explore without limitation. Just digital legos but it makes your eyes bleed. At least lego didn't go full predatory like that Roblox online thing is with its game attempts.

People clamoring for Minecraft lego sets, and getting them, was probably a turning point in internal goals. Ignoring the increased prevalence of other mainstream licensing shit.

The blue backgrounds reminds me of aquazone, ofc it isnt that, but I think they were aiming for something fairly futuristic for the time (like the transportable modules). I think they succeeded.

It's a cool train, probably my favorite, because I don't like boring real life ones. It's like the train equivalent to how cool the space monorails are.

I'm happy with the rock monster, he seems quite light for his size but is sturdy. The rest of the set was a little more iffy, being older Enlighten there were clutch issues with some of the pieces and I recall one of the minifigs had a defective arm. Still worthwhile overall, they were cheap and if this store is on the level >>9961614 you can still get it for a good price.

The figures, star defender, and monorail are all the coolest parts, but overall it just feels like its missing some personality that the later space themes had.

All of their functions / gimmicks were done better later, and the color scheme is quite boring - much like how exploriens is not nearly as loved as the other factions unique and striking colors, neon, high contrast, etc.

They definitely pioneered space overall, but they were a stop gap between classic and the truly great era. A lot of the later classic space sets were more interesting and actually seemed more futuristic than futuron.

I wish I liked them more, but I just don't. Even the star defender was just done better with blacktron 2's aerial intruder. I suppose there is value in having a civilian faction, but it's sort of like how a basic creator town building isn't exactly inspiring.

The color scheme is not bad but its just bland boring. I think they where trying to get away from classic space blues and greys. I think a shade of grey rather than white would have better.
On the other hand it was remarkably consistent
unlike the cladieoscope of classic space

White + black + red lights + transparent blue screens

Also they had no big ship (i define a big ship as Plus 300 parts) Every theme had a big ship.

and the other ground base(not the monorail one) was lame (just 200 parts)

Once you take away the monorail . They are just a collection of small to medium sets (quite a few but still) None of them are bad but they just a bit boring and forgettable.

I read somewhere the monorail was not a big seller as it was too expensive ??!?

Not him, but no. Every sword rack I've seen displayed in a castle or some sort of historical display shows the sword hanging down. If you think about the point of balance being at the hilt, it would not make sense for a sword to be displayed blade up. A spear or polearm would be different though and the head would be facing up with the shaft down.

Sorry this is late but here's the helmet comparison. The Enlighten one is a visor on the classic motorcycle helmet, similar to Lego's but somewhat more flexible which means it fits more loosely but is also more forgiving of a little manual tightening.

It's not advantageous at all for lego to push licensed themes over their original IPs. Licensed stuff has a more narrow profit margin due the licensing fees. If they could survive solely on in-house themes they absolutely would. But stuff kids already recognize is what sells. I'm not saying I don't want more original IPs with more creativity, or even that I like lego as a company, but I think you have it backwards. Kids already want star wars and marvel; it's not lego making them into drones who only want big names they recognize
