>>53664878Well it depends winch war your talking about. There was that massive war 3000 years between what is now modern today Unova and Kalos which scars are still felt to this day because of AZ Ultimate weapon. Much of the details of the war were either lost to history or purposely forgotten, but its effectively the Dragon Empire vs the Kalos-surrounding regions empire which ending with the near destruction and scattering of the dragon people, rendering entire or parts of many region uninhabitable, Late Bronze Age collapse like event, and plugging the world into a dark age for a few hundred years. After a while thing rebuild and you have your "normal" wars like the civil war between the hero of truth and idea, the war outside of Rota, or the time ho-oh stopped a war by burning all the weapon, etc. While import they are so far removed by the time of the story that many don't think about them.
>>53665803>>53665849In my setting the war that is really import to the backstory is the great war which is a combination of the Napoleonic Wars and First World War. It started as some small squabble between Kanto and Jotho which then escalated out of control dragging most of the worlds power into the conflict. By powers I mean something like clans, kingdoms, city states, and guilds. With only two real "nations" that exist at the time which are Kalos and Uonva. The reason why so many powers joined was for varying reasons like duty/honor bond, secret alliances, unresolved issue, a distraction from internal problems, wanting to keep the Status quo, preventing nations states from forming, or just for the glory. At first the war was fought in a "Chivalry" and "Honorable" way, but when Unova and Kalos joined the war with their new National Army caused the other powers to panic as they had to find ways of counting it. Many started their own mass conscription lead by "proper people" while other resorted to using less then honorable tactics.
