I had a worldbuilding question/idea a few days ago, but completely forgot what it was. Oh well, take this prompt/inspiration instead:
Fossilmons. What kind of restrictions would there be on bringing these ancient creatures back to life? Is it a highly-regulated endeavor, each newly revived mon cataloged and only a certain number revived in a given period of time, or is it a wild west type situation, revive-as-many-as-you-can-carry? What about when wants to release a fossilmon? do they jsut let it go into the wild, or do they have to turn it in to a professor or something, lest it wreck havoc on the ecosystem?
In a similar vein, story idea. Fossilmon gets released and tries to fit in to the current balance of nature, trying to find a new niche. Is it doomed to fail? Does it take back it's ancient role? Or something else?
