I like him because he's not trying to be some overly happy actor like most of the other gym leaders. His outfit is plain, but distinct. Do you know what it's like to work a white-collar job, anon? Being a salaryslave is way worse than being a wagecuck. At least wagecucks get paid for overtime and get to go homeat reasonable times of the day. probably the best fire starter in the last decade, but still quite bad. stuffed to the brim with clutter and awful traits with no coherent idea behind most of it, a cluttered mess of actual clothing and weird colorful scale patterns, fire bird is way too much, its fire looks like god-damn mac n' cheese- I find little to love in this thing no matter how hard I coped when it was first leaked. It's still the best of the Paldean trio, but it reminds me of Emboar in how just a few small tweaks could make it so much better (even if Skeledirge would need a lot more work done on it). 5/10

I did just complete the gang quest and the twist with the rival gang was pretty cute and funny. Guess I gotta re-explore again alongside doing gym rematches.

I can't really bring myself to like any of them, no matter how much I respect what they were going for. The designs are just not there for me

0. I just didn't like the look or sound of much of the actual game content and the story from what I saw just kinda blew chunks. Plus the overemphasis on competitive PVP shit just kinda put me off, which is a shame because I really like the Galar region, character designs, Pokemon, open-endedness of the outdoors areas and the way the DLCs at least tried to patch up the holes people complained about.
Part of me is really tempted to give Sword/Shield a go someday so I can properly experience it but at the same time it just kinda feels like a waste of time with Scarlet and Violet on the horizon and with the DP remakes + Arceus doing what Sw/Sh did but better.
