Why was Monkezuma's backsprite changed?

The old one was based on a sketch from the person who made the design, IIRC. I don't even understand how that new headband is supposed to work, and the changes to the armpit make the arm look thinner then it actually is in the design/frontsprite.

The pallete change is fine but the headband and armpit should really be reverted.

Tried to come up with some poses for a possible new Monkezuma back sprite. Ended up spriting the two poses I think worked best, but if anyone else likes the other two I left them in the image in case they want to try spriting them.
