I always thought because Hitmonchan's gimmick is basically the elemental punches he could have an ability that gives him the secondary typing of whatever elemental punch he's using could be good if you're a speedy Chan and want to give yourself a resistance before a move hits and while you don't get that boost with all punches like iron fist if you keep using that punch you now stab on it so that's neat. Also just give him all the punches Game Freak you can't exclude punches from the "punching pokemon"
