The fiery veil summoned by Flare Blitz experiences a radical surge of distortion following Thunder Punch's impact. The sheer amount of voltage that Talonflame feels in that uppercut ravages his body from the inside-out in a series of tremors. Unable to keep itself reliably stable, the cloak of flames promptly discharges from the falcon's body, resulting in a blazing explosion that sends Talonflame to the smoke above and Dedenne into the wall.
>Dedenne fainted!Dedenne is smack dab blown the fuck out by the burning blast. Having used all his strength in that one Thunder Punch, he had none left to defend himself from the explosion he had inadvertently caused. He hits the wall, discharges electricity in small quakes, and loses consciousness.
On the bright side, Talonflame is faring no better. He is completely immobile in his ascent upward, covered in soot, torched by his own element. Once he hits his peak height, he plummets downward with dozens of feathers accompanying him on the way down.
THUD.He hits the ground beak first and then skids across the battlefield until he finally comes to a complete stop. Just as it looks like he's going to lose consciousness too, Talonflame tries one last time to get up, and succeeds in placing one claw on the ground.
A) He stays up!
