Before anyone gets the pitchforks, yes i like oras. yes it is a lazy remake and they cut corners. But the QoL enhancements, amazing multiplayer, and great region makes it a really fun game to play even today. While I understand how it must feel to have your childhood favorite game be butchered like that, I did not grow up with gen 3 and oras was my first experience with hoenn when it came out.
Also gen 1 is a buggy mess that is not enjoyable to play without nostalgia goggles. Like seriously if pokemon never got popular and gen 1 were the only games ever made, pokemon would be a forgotten blip on the catalog of the gameboy
