The fact that most people playing normally get around 15-20 hours is the problem. You've cried but speedruns so much, that you must talk to every trainer and collect every item but we're just talking a normal play through. There isn't enough content in your way that will make everyone take it slow. There aren't dungeons and complex routes to slow people down. There aren't any activities or really any town gimmicks. If GF put content in the way people would slowdown.
The only way you will get time out of these games it grinding in the wild area, which leads to an over powered team who can rush through the game easily. So for the pokemon fanboy who has never touched an RPG with any type of open world section it is amazing.
