I think it would make a lot of sense if gamefreak confirmed if humans in the pokemon world had types too. Why wouldn't they? Humans are animals too. Think about it, theres people who can use psychic abilities but thats just the most blatant example. I think it would also explain why so many people in the pokemon world feel such strong connections with pokemon of certain types. Theres so many trainers that just seem to spend ALL their time in and around water, they were probably born water type.
