Instead of getting access to an early game 70 BP move with a Flinch change, and being able to check as many trees as you want with each check taking a few seconds and headbutt trees being everywhere; you have use up Honey every time you check, only 20 trees in the whole region can be checked, you have to wait 8 hours between checks, and if you don't check at the exact right time you lose the whatever Pokemon you would have gotten and the honey gets wasted.
