and keep in mind this poll pretty much for everyone with a googled account, meaning it cast an extremely wide net.

Even comparing Typhlosion only to other Johto Pokemon, the issue should be apparent. All the Pokemon around Typhlosion (Umbreon, Tyrantiar, Lugia, Scizor, Ampharos Espeon, Sucine,) actually get quite a bit of attention: either massive buffs in PvP, special snowflake super saiyan forms, regular appearances in the anime and spinoffs, and even Pokémon far below Typhlosion got megas or some huge buff or constant merch.
Meanwhile Typhlosion gets fuck all, was given Charizard's sloppy seconds for stats, no buffs since...ever, soft banned from the anime, somehow barely had any cards, instead of getting a Mega like Charizard and Blaziken was replaced with a regional, and its regional was given Frisk in the one and only meta that made items visible.
Typhlosion doesn't need constantly super saiyan forms, nearly every move in the game, a spot as the Champions Ace, total immunity to dexit in games where other starters aren't allowed, or the constant worship CHARIZARD gets. But considering people like the damn thing, I think Typhlosion at least deserves some special coverage worth a damn, its the VOLCANO Pokémon so Earth Power that would be a good start since nearly everything else already gets it.
