>>35315969Well, again, the lack of gore in the honeycomb suggests that it's merely a Combee-like comb, rather than one the faces have been removed from. Vespiquen being shocked isn't unreasonable regardless- most people would be surprised to see another species in the proccess of disguising itself as one of them. One can even speculate that Vespiquen was bringing the berries to feed a "Combee" that on closer inspection proved to be three Cutieflies stuffed in a honeycomb.
As far as the parasitoid thing goes, Cutieflies hatch directly from eggs like all other Pokemon, and graduate immediately to drinking nectar, so I think the Combee's safe on that front.
