It is notoriously difficult due to the trolly shit, terrible grinding and some of the fights are tedious as fuck. It's also extremely long because you'll have to do post game with a surprise fuck you final boss that'll absolutely wipe you if you don't have shit like Sluggfug or Tarditank. Alongside punishing low-attention span fags who want to use Rare Candies. So in my opinion, that would set you as the best nuzlocker in the world. Considering as of my autistic rambling, nobody has even done a full completed nuzlocke run of Clover. Which speaks volumes of how difficult it is compared to the Kaizo trilogy, which is not only fully documented but numerous people have finished it despite it being the "hardest" Pokemon games.
So yes, until he gets over his trauma with Clover, he will not be the best nuzlocker in the world if he hasn't even beat the nuzlocke that's slightly more impossible than Kaizo would ever be.
