I wonder what these parrots and ostriches and cranes view as impressive in humans. Is that some physical trait, sheer size, behavior? Why exactly do they sometimes view humans as better mates than their fellow species? Especially in cases where they pass the mirror test, so there's no excuse of not knowing what their kin look like.
