Speculating on A2 based on some numbers (Assuming we're going to Johto in 2 weeks):

So thats 100 cards. Now A1 had:
>15 EXs
>15 full art EXs
>24 non-EX full arts
>6 Rainbows
>3 Immersives
>3 Crowns
We're at 166. Speculation says we're getting around 230-250 cards in A2 so where are the rest coming from? Some other things to consider:
>31 Gen 1 Pokes are related to evolutionary lines that get new cards in A2 (Babies, Steel Evos, Branching type Evos), so any of them could get a reprint.
>At least 4 pokes could see type changes (Voltorb, Electrode, Magnemite and Magneton could get Metal versions)
>9 possible support cards (gym leaders + birch) with possibly 6 new items (complete speculation here).
That gets us to 216. Lastly, A1 had 48 non-gen 1 Pokes to fill up the roster. Those vary by typing a good bit (all Metal Pokes were non-gen 1, Dark had only Gen 1s), so they have room to bump things up to the 230-250 range, even as high as the 270s if they wanted.
Does that nonsense sound right or am I missing anything?
