Unironically, Gen 2. Too many of them are babymons, unfinished evolution lines, and just boring pokemon in general. It's a even greater shame that the few Johto pokemon I like are trade evolutions like Scizor and Steelix. I struggle hard to make at least half of my team be Gen 2 pokemon whenever I play the Johto games. And top it off, the only Johto starter I like is Feraligatr and I don't see the massive appeal of Typhlosion. Overall, not a very remarkable dex to me.

Gen 2 has the worst dex in the entire series solely because of how boring and shit it is. Even the starters, aside from Feraligatr, are flat out boring and a complete downgrade from based Kanto starters. It's no wonder their game's new pokemon distribution are ass because all of the johtomons are either bland, ugly, trade evos or just shitmons in general. The worst part is that some of the actual cool looking johtomons are either trash or in another region. Can you believe that Heracross only knows ONE fighting type attack move and it's Rock Smash? People hate on Gen 5+ pokemon all of the time, but at least they're interesting and/or good to use. I can't be compelled to use Johtomons aside from the starters in their own game because Kantomons are just better, but I also don't want to use the same Kantomons that I used in RBY.

Honestly, I'm down for another Giraffe pokemon as long as it's better than Girafarig. In fact, let's replace most of the Gen 2 dex with better additions. Gen 8 already had the right idea with Orbeetle, Wooloo, Copperajah, Eldegross, etc.
