I should just screencap my own posts because I don't want to write this same shit over and over again. Anyways:
Greninja is yet again one of those things that doesn't deserve to be banned. People should stop acting like Greninja always has the right moveset and the Greninja user always makes the right prediction. In high ladder matches, the opponent can probably predict too, and this is how you deal with Greninja. After all, Greninja is so frail that its user can't make false predictions because you can just flat out OHKO Greninja with neutral STAB moves. This isn't the case with truly overpowered Pokemon like M-Kangaskhan and M-Salamence, both of which have the bulk to easily tank powerful hits. You can easily get an idea of Greninja's moveset in the team preview, since it's usually used to cover its team's weaknesses. Smogon seems to ban anything that has more than one viable set, because this was also the case with M-Lucario and Aegislash. They're trying to create a metagame where you can make a team that ALWAYS has a chance to win, but the game just doesn't work like that. There's so much shit going on and you just can't counter all of it with six Pokemon. Sometimes you lose to Greninja, sometimes you win. That's how it works, but Greninja isn't always going to kick your ass. In the end, high ladder players will still have their high rankings regardless of whether Greninja is running around or not. I feel like this whole thing is caused by Smogon's mindless banning, because nobody saw Greninja as a broken Mon during the earlier days of XY. No, Gunk Shot and Low Kick didn't suddenly turn Greninja from "good" to "broken".
