>>51161717>the problem is the same: to Ash that wasn't a hurdle at allIt wasn't a problem. You're just injecting your desires into a story that wanted to do something else. Learning how to use the 10MVT was always meant to be a reward for Ash after learning the lessons of Alola, like any trial in the region.
>chimchar going crazy>Ash exhausted after using AGYeah, okay, so you missed my point entirely, with Blaze and A-G, while having drawbacks for not being mastered was a part of their storylines, Ash still never put any real thought into how to master them, he just went on to train through battling, same as he always does, and with A-G he just mastered that matter of factly, literally with just saving a bug. Now, I don't know about you, but to me, from a storytelling standpoint, something like Ash discovering how to use 10MVT through his emotional development and the learning of valuable lessons is a much more impactful way of managing to do something you were unable to do before then just by practicing a whole lot. Also, I'm glad you acknowledge that comparing 10MVT to Blaze and A-G is disingenuous, even though you were the one that brought it up in the first place, because of the fact that Alola was one of the peaks of Ash's ability as a trainer, and so, it would only be natural for him to be shown to struggle less then he did in other series. That's just basic storytelling sense, what was hard to do in the past, becomes easier to do now, with accumulated knowledge and experience. And yes his experiences with Blaze and A-G do translate to his usage of Z-moves, because what all of those have in common is needing to forge a strong bond with his pokemon to master them, and it only makes sense that with more time he would be able to do so in a better way with less struggle.
>losing battles to PaulActually, wasn't the only time Chimchar's Blaze activated during a battle with Paul the time Paul called the battle off, basically saving Ash from losing the battle?
