For those wondering why — BW were scheduled after XY. This is the time to actually get it right. The so called burn out was once an excuse to the lack of support within Team A, and how Team B was holding such a massive project, many on Team A felt frustrated, undermined, and gave up.
I remember looking at their arts and falling in love with their Megas. (Yes, megas were supposed to come first. The lore was to be continued in BW. Audino was always an XY Pokémon). Milotic, Lapras, Jynx, Togekiss, Mantine, Mismagius, Skarmory — to name a few. I am hoping we get to see these designs come to life. Mantine and Milotice were among my favorites. As to what I know so far of Pokémon Z-A, it’s being shared that it will be among the first games for the new console. The projected release is aimed for October 2025. Little is being shared of this project, among the reasons why - the history, troubles, and tribulations that preceded both Unova and Kalos games. Game Freak holds this one close to the heart. Some of the artwork has been shared with us on conferences, and it one of the most beautiful work I’ve seen so far. In fact, it reminds me of what was supposed to be done for the original BW games. This game will be a fan favorite. As to the much expected BW remakes — give Game Freak some time. Yes, the old crew is back. We have been working on this for some time; but I need to get this out of my chest: it has never been pitched for the current switch. It’s also no where near a release date. In fact, Gen 10 and the 30th anniversary have been the major focus for Game Freak. ILCA has been developing for some time the development for BW, but we’ve recently been moved over to Pokémon Works as of April 2024. So much can be said, but I will not spoil all the hard work that has been done.
