>>58251770>PaldeaDespise paradoxmons & convergents, I like the treasures, the crossgens, Greavard, Charcadet, & Smoliv but everything else feels like they just made new mons cause they had to. Also has so many 2 stage lines that should have had 3.
>SinnohSo many forgettable mons in this dex that never found their footing. Shit like Burmy, Pachirisu, Cherubi, Shellos, Stunky, Glameow, Bronzor, Finneon, there's likable mons here but so much of this dex is packed with shitmons
>JohtoSame problems as Sinnoh but there's higher highs. Can't really hate since it was always supposed to be "Kanto DLC", but judging it on the criteria I'd judge the other dexes, it's weak as hell
>GalarA few years ago this would have been #9 but I think my ire for Paldea really made me appreciate how competent Galar was. Grimmsnarl, Hatterene, Grapploct, Drednaw, Frosmoth, Pincurchin, shame the starters are the worst in the franchise though.
>KalosI pretty much like this entire dex other than Spritzee, Swirlix, Helioptile, and Binacle lines. 70 is just piss poor.
>AlolaFeels like nu-Pokemon at it's best, so coherent and unified in their tropical theming. You can FEEL the ecosystem here, and the Ultra Beasts are sick.
>UnovaLess consistent than Alola or Kalos with garbage like Basculin, Bert & Ernie, Klink, and the monkeys, but giving us 156 new mons will produce some duds, and really I just respect BW for giving us that soft reboot experience and (mostly) sticking the landing
>KantoNot much to be said, all time classics, I probably can't even judge this dex fairly because almost all of it's mons are engraved into my head
>HoennBest starter trio, great 3 stage lines like Metagross, Gardevoir, Aggron, Walrein, Slaking, large enough that you can put together plenty of teams, really really solid. So many mons here that feel just as iconic as the Kanto classics despite coming about firmly outside of Pokemania.
