the sinnoh region has been a topic that's been in my thoughts for a while now, and i believe it's high time i express my sentiments about it. the original games left me with a sense of melancholy. the overall atmosphere in sinnoh felt heavy, as if it were shrouded in a perpetual cloud of gloom. with the remakes announcement, i was hoping for a rejuvenation, a fresh lease on life for the region. alas, the remake left me yearning for more.
the pokémon distribution. in my humble opinion, was lackluster and uninspired. while there are undoubtedly some remarkable sinnoh pokémon, it's hard to overlook the missed opportunities. many of the creatures we encountered in these games were already familiar to us from other regions, creating a sense of déjà vu that left sinnoh feeling like a mere repetition.
furthermore, the very essence of the sinnoh region seemed unaltered. i'm at a loss for words when i attempt to describe it. it's as though the developers forgot to infuse the world with a splash of vivacity, resulting in an environment where everything simply melds into a monotonous continuum. the artistic choice of a chibi style also did not do justice to the overall atmosphere.
the character designs - a deep sigh escapes my lips. my anticipation for fresh interpretations of the gen 4 characters was met with disappointment. the designers seemed content to the same outdated aesthetics.
shifting our focus to the gameplay and features of pokémon brilliant diamond and shining pearl, i must express my profound disillusionment. the absence of innovations and gameplay improvements is disheartening. it's regrettably evident that these remakes fail to meet the contemporary standards we've come to expect from pokémon games
i would love to hear your thoughts on this matter. is it just me, or do you also find sinnoh to be somewhat lackluster and uninspiring in its current state?
