>>13823341Going to therapy and taking meds doesn't necessarily mean you had clinical depression, doctors will diagnose anyone who seems sad with depression and give them meds for it. But if you think depression is cured when you make a better life for yourself then it's obvious you were just depressed for a time and didn't really have clinical depression.
Lot of people have depression but aren't lazy, they do work hard and have what many would consider a good, normal life, at least it appears that way on the outside. But having clinical depression means that having a good life doesn't cure it, you're still depressed because there's something physically wrong with your brain.
Depression doesn't translate into being lazy. I have a girlfriend and a decent life too but depression is still there. I'm not sitting around with a "lazy victim complex" I do stuff in life too, but the feeling of depression will always be there no matter how good my life gets, that's what mental illness fucking is.
Telling people to do this and that to magically get better, what if they already HAVE done all those things and still aren't cured? What's your fucking answer then? That means they have clinical depression
People like you need to accept the fact that not every disease or illness has a cure and not everything is within our control. It's a sad fact of life and you need to accept that or you're just going to come across as a massive douche to everyone.
Especially when you assume that anyone with depression hasn't tried improving their lives already or even that they have bad lives in the first place
