>>11789879I posted what I had to say in the chat, but to reiterate...
My first suggestion would be to enable comments. To do so, click the blue Share button, then click Change on the permissions. Set it to "Anyone with the Link" and change it to "Can Comment". That way, people can leave comments on the gdocs when they please. This will allow people to point out errors, suggestions, and updates, and since you will be notified by e-mail every time there is a comment, you can check to see if there are any changes that need to be made even without viewing the thread, which should make managing and keeping things up to date easier. Of course, if there is abuse of this you can turn the comments off, and you can turn off e-mail notifications as well.
My second suggestion is to make use of the bookmarks feature to allow people to go directly from the table of contents to the desired section. To do so, first find the section in question and before the first word inset a bookmark--you can do so by using the Insert dropdown at the top of the screen. Then, at the table of contents, highlight the section, right click and select link. It will give you an option to make the text a hyperlink. Click on the bookmarks option and select the appropriate bookmark for the hyperlink. So, for example, if you wanted to link to, say, the Horror section, you wold scroll down to Horror, insert a bookmark there, then highlight Horror on the table of contents and select the appropriate bookmark to hyperlink it.
My third suggestion is to consider sharing the document with a trusted writefag, so that you have more than one person capable of maintaining the document. They would need to have a gmail account. To do so, hit Share, enter their gmail adress, and then set the permissions they have with the document--naturally, you'd give them editing rights.
I can help walk you through it if you like.
Don't matter to me if trainer is hidden or not, or if they do it afterwards.
