>>27743298There's only 1 major loss from Wi-Fi that is in the sequels, and that's Join Avenue.
JA was an amazing feature that gave you a shitload of benifits for trading and battling alone. The more you interacted online, the more benefits you could get. You could literally unlock the ability to pay for level ups, or egg hatching.
Sadly, with Wi-Fi being gone, you can only level up your JA through daily NPC's, so the benefits are much slower to unlock.
Aside from that, I don't think they badger you too much at all. I marathonned through both games again recently, and I definitely noticed that the game is less "explanatory" in the sequels.
They generally cut down a lot of the dialogue because B/W were notorious for having lots of NPC dialogue at every single route.
The only huge dialogue bomb in the sequels is the explanation for PokéStar Studios. People tend to absolutely HATE that part (happens around Gym 2) it will take up like 20 minutes to go through that entire section.
However, this may be unpopular, but I think if you sink your teeth into Pokestar Studios, you can really enjoy it. It's a completely different way to play Pokémon. But most people cant be bothered, and get out as soon as you can. Understandable.
