Poliwhirl has been my favorite pokemon since day 1. I don't really know why, I just love the design. Poliwhirl is so great to me as it accomplishes so much as a design. It's simple, has a memorable detail, can come off as both cute and cool. It's just a great design. Planning to use one in SM, eviolite makes me feel better about not evolving it.
>>28346469My second favorite pokemon is shuckle. As a child I adored turtles, I thought they were fascinating. Of course years later I learned shuckle is more of a mold but still kid me saw a turtle. I liked shuckle since it resembled and behaved like a actual turtle. Squirtle and its evolutions felt like they just took the look of a turtle, nothing actually cool about it. Today I love it as a pokemon, its so stupid its brilliant.
