She'd be outdoorsy like May (hiking, biking, rock climbing) and more tomboyish than any other protagonist: no problem camping in a tent in the wilderness, likes hamburgers or trashy food (US inspired character), not scared of bug pokémon. I normally try to 'lock on' a type for a protagonist, and try to have at least 4 of that type in the team (dual types count as well). For Hilda I picked Normal, because that seemed a good fit for her. Fighting was another option, and a mandatory bug/insect pokémon because she thinks they're cool, unlike most pokégirls, or wants to prove something to herself.
