probably but i don't really think they need it. i didn't think the gen 3 legendaries needed anything and i still don't but they still got new forms in their remake anyways. it's just what they do now.

Maybe not but probably Mega evos for the Kalos starters. I'll never get the logic behind why they didn't gave the starters or ANY Kalosmon a mega form in the gen it debuted.

The anime staff asked for GF to design a mega Greninja so that Ash could have a mega Pokemon but they refused and instead made Ash-Greninja. I don’t they ever planned to make Kalos starter megas.

the whole point of megas was to give recognizable old pokemon fancy new designs. There's no point giving new designs to pokemon that are already new. It's the same reason gen 5 also barely got megas, gen 5 pokemon are literal whos to normies so they may as well be new.

There's infinite ways they could implement Xerneas and Yveltal in the story. But right now, we have no information about the setting or the characters so there's no point speculating about how they would be implemented.
