>>33624124There are of course, Holos like Subaru, Miko, Kanata, Noel etc. who came to enjoy this type of "Girls' High School" atmosphere. It helped that JPs could visit each other a lot more often than ENs as well, and them having hags like FBK and Mio to resolve disputes and make sure things were cool between everyone.
HoloEN, meanwhile, is two years into existence and they had only 11 (-1) talents... until Tempus debuted, making it 14.
Now obviously considering that Tempus is within Hololive - and within the HoloproEN branch - there's less bureaucracy standing between them and HoloEN talents. A lot of Holo girls were obviously running out of stream ideas and getting burned out (lack of streams show this), and "male collab" is a "new thing" that they think can revitalize their interest in streaming, just like the HoloJPs of old. It's "fresh content" for them, that they will do not because of any ideaological reasoning (although for some, that may be the case as well) but due to just having "fresh content" on their channel. EN side is also notably averse to flaming males because the EN audience is far less schizo compared to the JP audience.
If HoloEN had debuted another girls' gen in this time period, with a second one on the way in a month or two, this issue could have been avoided. The girls would have more friends to talk to, they could have had fresh collabs, collab ideas and stream ideas in general. They could have kept their content "fresh" without having to resort to male collabs.
Also HoloEN management is far more incompetent with finding sponsorships for the girls. While the JP girls have been getting bombarded with all sorts of sponsorships that align with their interests (Luna Electone, Lamy sake/aquarium, Aqua VN, Botan redbull etc. etc.) to the point that they even have to turn down some of them due to lack of time, the EN girls... haven't been getting shit. The Taco Bell cameo was the last time any major western sponsor even deigned to touch HoloEN.
They also don't have to do recordings for Hologra or the variety programs that happen in the official channel and the fanclub, because EN doesn't have any of that shit. They are also notably blocked from collabing with their peers (NijiEN) but I don't think any of them are banned from collabs with Tsunderia, Kawaii or Prism Project - but I can assume that they have to do a lot of paperwork to materialize these collabs. And only Bae has so far reached out to one of these companies (and that too, only because of her PL relationship), because as mentioned earlier, the bureaucracy of collabing with people from another corpo is a HUGE barrier.
Checking the aforementioned points about HoloJP -
> Bureaucracy : No bureaucratic restrictions in collabing with Tempus.> Comfiness/lack of drama : Drama comes from the fanbase, not from the talents themselves. Which is something they feel they can tank.> Being busy with stuff : lolSo most of the blame for this issue imo lies with management not recruiting more talents and not giving the girls enough sponsorship deals to keep them busy.
And once 1 or 2 new EN Gens come around (or even just EN3), I have a feeling Tempus will be dropped like a hot potato.
