There's a small bunch of different GER indies out there, but none of the ones I've seen so far were even close to what you come across on the global EN market in terms of quality (shitty model, background/assets, sound, etc.), not counting chuubas though that are mainly streaming in English. But I can also see why going EN is so tempting, even with the current overflow that is happening. Whether it is the sheer number of potential viewers due to the number of speakers, training your personal language skills or cultural appeal.
I would probably give it a shot myself if I weren't so detached from the German weeb scene.
