I'm definitely not the average representative user but I've been around since 06 and these days make music, draw, have been writing scifi etc. Back then, made random stupid little edits for /a/, some of them I STILL see around sometimes many years later. I did these stupid crying faufau edits on a lark months ago and they spread around the board and become their own whole thing. I don't even like fauna -that- much, just thought it'd be funny to shake up the "I miss fauna" posters' routine from using that one emote over and over. In full old man yells at cloud mode if even 10% of the board were like me, you'd maybe have a better idea of what old 4chan was like.
