So, I watched some of the Dahmer documentary and I'm not totally sure I understand why some people are so angry at him.
It seems to me that:
He was probably just waiting for lab grown humans
His victims were free-range
There are still many places in the world where people are property. If you are opposed to killing and eating people, you are a racist
People have been killing each other for thousands of years
Dahmer was at the top of the food chain as evidenced by his actions
Animals kill animals all the time, it’s evolution
If Dahmer was not meant to kill and eat those people god would’ve stopped him
The people Dahmer killed probably did not understand ethics
The people Dahmer killed might’ve killed others given the chance
Those people probably actually liked being eaten or they wouldn’t have put themselves in a situation to be eaten
His victims were often unconscious when killed, and therefore not harmed
Many of his victims were locally sourced
My uncle runs a human farm and treats his humans really nicely
His victims likely enjoyed being seduced
He could’ve eaten a jellyfish instead, did you think of that you dumb people who don’t kill and eat others?
Killing them was an act of mercy; they would’ve died anyway
If you don’t kill and eat others you’re crazy
Morally is subjective
Who are you to judge the personal choices of others
Dahmer was superior to his victims as evidenced by his capacity to kill them
Not killing others is a nice thought but not a moral imperative
It’s ok to kill others for food, that is different than just doing it ‘for fun’
People opposed to killing others are just basing that choice on subjective ideas about what they like that are not rooted in reality
There are more useful people he didn’t kill
His victims maybe were not very smart
What if you were dying and the only choice was to kill and eat someone? If you were starving to death and all you could eat was another human, you would
People would die regardless of if Dahmer was the one killing them
I am not concerned with human rights
His victims were just biological machines. They were operating on instinct and you cannot prove they have feelings
Nihilism bro
He was a part time not-human killer
Circle of life bro
There’s not ethical consumption under capitalism
Alternatively, consumption proves ethics
It is important to SUSTANIABLY kill and eat humans
People will overrun the earth if we don’t kill and eat them
Some of them might’ve already been dead when he ate them
Not killing and eating others is a privilege
Not killing and eating others is expensive
If we don’t let people kill and eat others, those people will suffer
There are more important issues than killing and eating people
Individuals don’t matter, it’s only a problem when industry kills people for consumption
One time a baby died from malnutrition; if you had let that baby kill and eat someone they might’ve been OK
Sometimes people who don’t kill and eat others need supplements
I think those who don’t kill and eat others look unhealthy
I’m a libertarian / liberal; eating other people is freedom
Killing and eating others is tasty
Not killing and eating others is hard
People who are opposed to killing and eating others are annoying
Someone who was opposed to killing and eating others said something dumb; therefore all those who are opposed to killing and eating others are wrong
You can’t be against killing and eating others and be pro-choice
Why are you opposed to only killing and eating others occasionally? Some of us really cut back
You can’t 100% avoid killing others because all actions support other remote actions – people die in food production!
You will never convince everyone to not kill and eat others
People who don’t kill and eat others are just virtue signaling
People who don’t kill and eat others are judgmental
Some people who claim to not kill and eat others actually do
I don’t care
Even if you were to address a couple of these arguments, one of them HAS to be right
