The wrong thing to do is start painting with a broad brush and shitting on large chunks of your audience while disguising it as admonishing schizos. That second one is something people do when they get too comfortable and start lashing out out of narcissism, never because the audience gets that bad. In any situation they think could be perceived badly, they start bending the truth and pushing responsibility onto others (a huge problem when you're basically openly attacking viewers, even if you think you're being sly about it).
The issue is not "buildup of schizos," it's "taking viewers for granted." This happens in every field and it's not because of poor communication skills. It's clearly not Pippa's issue either, which is more like a lack of direction.
