>>53573745oh, absolutely. totally thoroughly, those parents had that mentality and were constantly meddling while i was on the job to make sure i wasn't impeding on their little darlings' willful chaos. and the one hongkonger kid i taught during introduction warm ups where people tell me where they're from told me he hates his home because "the government is terrible" (this was during the riots a while back.) it made me nervous because in my head i was thinking "KID, ARE YOU TRYING TO GET YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARRESTED? I'M JUST TRYING TO TEACH YOU ENGLISH CHRIST."
this experience in conjunction with the coco fiasco made me hate mainlander chinese people and hongkong government dogs more than you could possibly comprehend. i am so glad there will never, ever be a StarsCN.
