>>74935890You're just wrong, I assume you either just weren't watching many JPs back then, since without even thinking I can name a member of every gen that was seison't from that period (roboco, choco, mel, okayu, marine) that has toned stuff down with time
>>74937825It's a little bit more than this, like one of her strongest suits was her ability to organize and mc larger collabs. It's something that she built up in the period where 4kisei was really struggling and she was constantly finding fun stuff for them to do together.
It was really a boon for her that her skills were able to get other holomems to follow her into whatever stupid bullshit (including getting all of hololive addicted to ark for 6 months, and before anyone says anything, it was pretty fucking great when there were as many holomems playing as played minecraft) she was into. Even just getting large groups of holomems to play telephone or wordwolf. Or just think of how much she got out of miko in the elite english collabs. It doesn't help that at the time, there just weren't many holomems with better mc skills (I'm thinking fubuki, marine, maybe A-chan, but it might just be that A-chan has gotten better since). Then, once EN debuted, she could always function as a go-to bridge and a bilingual mc.
There's a reason that a lot of us who were watching at the time are nostalgic specifically for asacoco, you'd watch an episode and outside of watame or Luna, you didn't know who'd be involved in a skit that week, on top of that, it was just a good, tight way to keep people informed on what was goin on in wider hololive. Further, if you really look at it, and I have no doubt this is collaborative, but she always got the best out of those appearances, well maintaining consistency in the asacoco tone.
To explain the difference with Kson, it's not that kson doesn't have regular collab partners, or doesn't have the same skills, but having that regular, large stable of collab partners that all have very visible relationships and personalities and available on pretty short notice, were a really good boon for a vtuber who's skills lent themselves so well to larger collabs and organizing other projects (flexible in terms of tsukkomi and boke, able to leverage mc skills to get the best out of collab partners etc.). She just can't (or doesn't want to) use her skills in the same capacity now that she doesn't have that.
