>>66418947That's not how copyright law works, anon; there's no trickle-down or implications. Every entity involved needs to sign off Morecompany would have to sign off on modmaker1 and visa versa (2^1 = 2 degrees of alignment). If they wanted to use two mods, Morecompany would have to sign off on both, modmaker1 would have to sign off on both Morecompany and modmaker2; mod2 for mod1 and morcomp... (2^2 = 4 degrees of alignment), 3 mods, it's 2^3... You get the idea. If they wanted to play a game with 6 mods, that's 64 different documents their legal team has to draft and process, within a certain timeframe, where all parties agree that IRyS, Nerissa, Marine, and Wawa specifically are allowed to play Lethal Company with said mods on the 7th of February specifically. And if any logistical issue happened like if Nerissa's internet gets knocked offline in a thunderstorm or Marine was arrested for kidnapping with intent to harm, all 64 documents would need to be redrafted.
tl;dr - It is theoretically possible to involve mods, but it makes everything so legally brittle that nearly every corpo will consider it not worth the trouble.
