>>32519520Something else that a lot of people missed about this story setup is how Pekora seamlessly integrated new information into her narrative, and set up so many "what if" moments, which are the cornerstone of a good story (making people wonder about how else the story could have proceeded --> theories --> more discussion).
Pekora was originally thinking about betraying everyone, but she had said it in a playful enough way that just genuinely joining Suisei's team was still an option. But in the middle of their interactions, Pekora discovers something new : Her side base was ransacked by Suisei's team for supplies.
She integrated this into the story as a "reason to betray" everyone. They fucked up her base, so it's fair play. Immediately after the betrayal, when everyone was shouting "WHY!?" she made sure to put say "because you took my supplies" out there, and even reinforced it by taking back all the C4 they stole from her base before running away.
Pekora is unironically a genius level entertainer and improv master.
