>>10219380It's a difference in perception, really. In America, fast food is considered cheap food and people eat it all the time, it doesn't need to be good nor do people expect it to be.
In Japan, people eat out less and they already have their own cheap options like noodle places etc. Mcdonalds JP (and the other western chains) have to be good to earn their business.
