The really cool thing is when you have a useful major but have to abandon it half-finished with no chance of refunding the tens of thousands spent on tuition for those classes because there's a 3rd year bottleneck class or a fucking internship requirement in the middle of a pandemic, so you suddenly have to scramble to turn your minor or a couple random electives you took out of personal interest into a degree.
With law majors specifically, usually the people taking it are shooting for Law School, but only a tiny percent of the people taking it will actually get in so the rest are just scammed out of several years of their life.
