>>1389923I still maintain the idea that the "newfag influxes" aren't as widespread as people think. I'd be surprised if the population of people who wanted to actually talk about Vtubers wasn't already tapped out by the Meido Civil War.
I think the last big newfag influx was ID2's debut, and that was nothing compared to the EN debut. Typically, most newfags are drawn from debuts, because if you were into Hololive and wanted to post on 4chan about them, you'd already be here.
The pool of interested people who cross over into both this place and Hololive is deep, but it's also mostly drained already. Even before this place got made, we were bigger than 95% of all threads on the site, and as much as people sperg out about how
>4chinz is not ur sekrit klub!there really aren't a lot of people who come here from other sites; only people here that post off-site and a rare few who come on, outside of the cesspit that is the /pol/ reddit colony threads or major events like the old Tumblr crossraids.
We're pretty stable, and looking at the statistics, we've kept an incredibly stable population and posting cycle for a month straight, more if you go back to /jp/. I think the only real worry for newfags is going to be with the next debut cycle.
Of course, that hasn't stopped schizophrenics from deciding that pretending to be a newfag who wants to disrupt the thread culture will net them a lot of (you)s, but that's neither here nor there.
