We're lucky to be in a hobby with a nearly unlimited quantity of audio ressources and all kind of games / streams available, even within Hololive only, so you might as well make good use of it.
But you'll have to actively focus on the stream and the words the Holo is saying to get any benefit from it, you can't just leave the stream in the background, do something else, and hope to learn anything like that because you won't. (this process is called "Active Listening")
Of course it's usually easier to do that on game streams since you have context on the screen, zatsudans are harder than that as you can get lost quite easily and collabs are MUCH harder.
Also, some Holos are easier to listen to since they tend to speak slowly and clearly, like Okayu or Watame, and some others are pretty much EOP destroyers, like Marine...
but in the end of the day, just pick someone you like or a game you're interested in.At some point, as you learn more and more vocabulary, you'll be able to pick up some words here and there and have a general idea of what's going on in the stream.
