I was just a newfag when I saw the Ace Combat permissions fall from Fubuki's channel. But I remember how they used managers to try and get them back.
And in turn, how those managers brought yabs upon us.
Yabs were an abstract Idea, nothing more than clips reposted on youtube.
As a newfag, I only saw it as something that happened to indies.
Until that final day of summer....
One day, while posting in the threads, I looked onto the JP channels. The visual of removed videos. Linked in the blue posts above mine, increasing numbers of dead links drew chaotic lines in posts like a crazed schizo.
A pulling of permissions of beautiful videos from far away. I could not tear my gaze away from the thread.
A deafening silence.
And then the compilations came in, streaming in the thread past me. Posters mourned in increasing numbers as the post-count swiftly climbed into the thousands.
One video series suddenly started returning dead links, dozens of videos gone.
The same series that made up Subaru's Undertale playthrough.
Now they only live in my memories of VODs past.
The culprit circled around to confirm the kill.
And on their title, a large MANAGER emblazoned in light blue.
I will NEVER forget this.
The permissions retreated from the JP branch, before the onslaught of copyright strikes.
Our little thread, in the heart of the fandom, fell into deep despair.
