Just see how much heat Ina got when she had the belt. Compare that to the heat of Polka having the belt.
Polka's biggest pop she ever got was winning the belt but then what? The response was flat. So get it on someone who's more popular as a face or a heel. It's why Gen 5 will never hold a belt for any more of time because the fanbase doesn't care about them.
It's why Lamy and Nene got their shots stolen from them after all. It's why Botan and Lamy were both in the bottom of the popularity poll.
Lamy going crazy and tearing the MitB Open as fast as she did got minimal crowd pop outside BECOME posting. So gotta take it out of her hands, can't have an unpopular wrestler getting the belt.
