You take a deck of cards and take one card of each suit, and make them the racers. Then take five cards, face down, and lay them in a row as checkpoints. Finally, take five more face down cards and have someone randomly assign them to separate markers.
Take the rest of the deck and shuffle it, then start a game where you all bet on different suits. Then start the race, each time you flip a card from the deck face up, the racer of that suit advances one. Whoever passes all five checkpoints wins, one card = one checkpoint. If all cards pass a checkpoint, then that checkpoint and the cards randomly assigned to it get flipped, and any suit that shows has to retreat one space per card shown.
