>>3338823>he actively wants the girls to use fake personalitiesPretty cringe take if you ask me.
>And part of the appeal is watching how that expands and evolves as the tubers growIt’s 1000% more satisfying to see Ina develop as a person rather than as a character. Seeing her art get recognized by Pixiv or her singing improving will always be better than some lore tidbit.
>I understand the appeal of the illusion that you're interacting with their true selfHow is this not her true self?? I understand that sometimes she pitches up her voice and the obvious fact that she uses a vtuber avatar. But you are acting like she ends the stream and does a complete 180 in terms of personality. And that brings me to my next point.
>And watch reality streamers if you want someone to just be themselvesStreaming sites (especially in the west) are shit because female personalities are judged by appearance. Most of them also have a raunchy and sexual sense of humor because that’s what gets popular on those sites.
That’s what I like about vtubers. They allow us to completely take physical appearance out of the equation so we can focus on the personality of the girl. Vtubing also allows us to find much more obscure personalities who wouldn’t stream otherwise, like Ina.
Vtubers who put on too much of an act are easily spotted and chewed out for doing so. It’s not fun to watch someone pretend to have a personality that they just don’t.
I’m gonna stop here probably because I know you won’t be convinced, and I don’t want this thread to turn into a shit flinging contest. Also it’s 5 am where I live, so.
