Fiber optics are good but only if you actually have fiber optics. Just because the ISP offers it to select areas doesn't mean you actually have a fiber line to your house. If she lives in the middle of nowhere she most definitely doesn't have an actual fiber line. And oftentimes there's only a fiber line to a main distributor and you actually only have a copper line to your house so it doesnt do anything.

I've also serviced folks remotely in Rural areas and we do routine speed checks. You can get more than 3Mbps.

Honestly I think she just needs to shitcan the America stuff, literally everything that's going well for her business-wise is in Japan and the America stuff feels like it's some weird coping mechanism that no longer serves its purpose. I don't know, it's just that when she's with friends and family she's really happy, but streaming takes a backseat in her mind to everything else priority wise and for as long as she's keeping up streaming hours these past months, she's been doing worse mentally and getting worse
Maybe it's not the workload but the streaming stuff that stresses her out, like setting up equipment or getting in the mood for it or having to be entertaining
