Tempus being around helped to slow down EN even more due to their collab spam with about half of the EN girls and their general existence dividing some of the fanbase and attracting super casual newfag viewers that won't stick around for long and ruin the vibe of what we used to have. I think that at least for western vtubers in general, they don't want to focus on long-time fans. They'd rather have new fans all the time and not stick with their old ones. Why? I dunno, but they all seem to be ok with drastically changing their content or general attitude towards things and it doesn't help. The fact that Gura straight up said she wanted to do her own thing and not be in the collab means two things: something going on in the background we'll never know about or she's burned out on collabs and wants to be alone for a long while. But it's clear that some of them want constant change, and some want to stick to what works for them not only as vtubers but just streamers in general.
But time goes on, and shit like that will inevitably affect collabs. But this one in particular was alright, pretty fun overall even if it can't compare to past ones.
