First of all, I really really liked that chapter. Cute and fluffy as expected. All interactions involving Pekora were on point and I liked the clash with Mikochi as well as the party-scene.
However, I do feel like the "talks" with the various members of the crew
(especially Marine and Astel) dragged on for too long. They followed a similar pattern to one of the previous chapters, where everyone got their chance to "talk it out" with Pekora, except it didn't really work as well this time. With Pekora, the talks were guided by the special inter-character relationships - it felt as if each pairing had their own set of challenges to overcome.
In this chapter, everything centered around (you) suddenly turning into this basic-ass MC with trust/abandonment issues, where everyone has to pat you on the back for half the chapter and tell you it's okay.
Don't get me wrong, I like it when (you) are not just a blank slate to self-insert into, but to me you had already developed anon's character well enough through the chapters that these "talks", where every flaw just suddenly gets explained away by "le ebil bullying in the past", actually felt detrimental.
Maybe that's why I liked the part with Flare the most among them all - that one was actually about something of sustenance, mainly the conflict with Miko.
On a different note, the way you write dialogue is *mwah* - chef’s kiss. The interactions flow superbly and the banter is witty and relatable. The way you describe scenes is good, but you sometimes throw a lot of adjectives around, making it feel as if you are so dead-set on painting a vivid picture that the text can feel quite flowery and… pretentious at times. That could just be my personal preference, though.
All-in-all a dope fucking chapter, I’m looking forward to the next one!
Especially the NSFW bonus chapter, hehe
