>>5711676It's a very broad "everything at once" approach. Initially, I learned just reading and recognizing kanji but that isn't enough for differentiating them, so I run into a lot of trouble with ones which look similar to each other because when I try to think of them, I cannot see the differentiating details in my head (stuff like 語、話、読 for example). Since mnemonics and apps didn't help me very much either so far (with few exceptions), I try to learn through song lyric association now.
I started to write down all the kanji of Reflect, including stroke order. I want to get to the point where I can at least remember the details and see them in my mind. Learning by song lyrics is essentially a giant mnemonic aide for also remembering meaning and readings on the side while practicing the writing.
